Congrats Tara and belated Happy birthday! When exactly is your Birthday?
    Best wishes on your wedding!

Thanks Randy. My birthday was February 26th so it's been a fun couple of weeks for me!

Thanks Amy (or Amo). I'm bringing along my wedding photographer (aka my tripod) to be sure to capture some sweet pics.

I cannot wait to see that wedding dress--with the rugged mountains and beautiful snow of Colorado! Good list, I have a weird thing about crossing things off lists too. Very satisfying!

Going to write my elopement post later today, Gracey. Thanks for your lovely message! The pics are rad and the day was AMAZING...

I love your list, I'm inspired to go write my own. I hope you're having a wonderful wedding day.

I'm a geeky list-maker so it was surprising that I hadn't tried this for my birthday. Glad I could provide some inspiration and be sure to share your list when you've posted it! (There's definitely something about making it public that holds you more accountable...)

That was a GREAT list I hope that your wedding went/is going great!

(While I type this the clouds are rolling in so I am hopping that I don't wake up in the morning to any headlines saying: "New Married Couple Stranded After Skiing to their Destination and then Being Snowed in then Having to Build a Snow Cave and eat Frozen Squirrel for Dinner..."

Because even though it would make great blog/stand-up fodder, it would still sorta suck, you know?

I do know Ally. The only real mishap we had was some gear difficulty with my cross-country skis, but luckily we had some snowshoes for a backup plan. No snow on the actual wedding day but it started coming down on Saturday, when we were backpacking out from the "rustic" cabin we stayed in. Fortunately, a drive to the hot springs cured all.

Full post coming soon and thanks for the kind thoughts!

Thanks buddy and sorry I couldn't invade your house for Blogger Social like we'd both imagined. Perhaps another time?

Yeah, and those bastards haven't given me my deposit back yet!

Anytime you are in Boston give me a yell.

Happy Belated Birthday, Happy Elopement, and Good Luck on these awesome goals. Especially stand-up! Make sure to invite me next time you perform!
  • tarable · 9 months ago
It may not be the first time I go back up on stage, but you'll definitely get an invite at some point, I promise!

Happy birthday, Tara! Great list of improvements

I for one am really hoping you rawk it with the roller derby. I'll definitely come watch your matches!
  • tarable · 9 months ago
There's a doubleheader at the end of this month if you want to come with me! Just watching this time...I gotta learn the strategy involved.

Great list! I'm particularly envious of the "stand up" one. I hope you go for it! Stand up has always intrigued me since I was a kid, but I've never had the guts to try it. I don't think I'm funny enough to make it worthwhile, and I suspect my ego is too fragile to handle the inevitable failure.

I bet you'd surprise yourself Kato. Even when I bomb on stage, I learn something. I'm thinking of going back up this next Tuesday, but it's St. Patty's Day and I'm not sure I have any good Irish jokes. I'll be taking video of my next stage appearance and trying to document the adventure on this here blog. Stay tuned.

Would love to see a video if you record it!

I only know pirate jokes, so unless you want to try to substitute "Pirate" with "Irish" I'm afraid I couldn't help.
